Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Northeast Warriors (“we”, “us”, “the platform”) collects when you use this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Northeast Warriors, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following information directly from you:

  • Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored as a salted, irreversible hash — we never store your plain-text password), and the state/district you tell us during registration.
  • Usage data: the tests you attempt, your answers, scores, and time spent, so we can show your results, history, and leaderboard ranking.
  • Payment data: when you purchase a membership, our payment processor (Razorpay) handles your card/UPI/netbanking details directly — we never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials. We store only the transaction outcome (amount, order/payment reference, status) needed to activate and audit your membership.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) collected automatically for security and abuse prevention.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account, and to keep you signed in securely.
  • To run the mock-test engine: save your answers, compute your score, and show you your history and rank.
  • To process membership purchases and confirm payment before granting premium access.
  • To send you transactional account email — the verification link required to activate your account, and a reset link when you request a password change. We do not send marketing or automated reminder emails.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.

3. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary:

  • With Razorpay, our payment processor, to process a purchase you initiate.
  • With our email-delivery provider (SMTP), solely to deliver the account-related emails listed above.
  • If required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government authority.

4. Public leaderboard display

If you appear on our leaderboard, only a masked display name (for example “Rahul K.”) and your score/percentage are shown. Your email, phone number, and full name are never shown on any public page.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and attempt data for as long as your account is active, so your history remains available to you. If you ask us to delete your account (see “Your rights” below), we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep transaction records for tax/accounting purposes under Indian law.

6. Your rights

You can review and update your profile details at any time from your account settings. You may request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at [Support / Grievance Officer Email Address].

7. Cookies and sessions

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in (a random session token — not an advertising or tracking cookie). We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and server-side authorization checks on every request. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information to the best of our ability.

9. Children's privacy

Northeast Warriors is intended for students preparing for competitive government/ defence-recruitment exams and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the revised policy.
